Lights Up! advocates for safe and inclusive theatre by providing a guide for theatres looking to adopt safe and equitable practices. Lights Up! collaborates with our theatres to certify safe and inclusive companies. We also maintain an anonymous incident report and a scoring system for artists to consult when determining whether they want to align with a theatre company in the Los Angeles and Ventura County areas. Theatres that adopt our standards are invited to create an ongoing partnership whereupon we help to advertise their shows, casting calls, workshops and others as long as their environment of safety and integrity aligns with Lights Up Standards.

Lights Up! also collaborates with individual artists and intimacy coordinators (certified and uncertified) to help theatres increase their pool of consent forward and Lights Up! knowledgeable artists.
